
Zulum addressing the students in India
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has visited students of Borno under Government scholarship studying at Sharda University in Noida, India.
A statement by Dr Bala Isa, the Executive Secretary of the Borno State Scholarship Board, described the visit as another demonstration of the Governor’s exceptional commitment to the welfare and academic success of Borno State indigenes studying abroad.
According to him, during the visit, Governor Zulum met with Borno State Scholarship beneficiaries studying at Sharda University, where he interacted with them, listened to their concerns, and encouraged them to remain focused and disciplined in their academic pursuits.


“In his characteristic spirit of compassion and practical support, His Excellency presented each student with the sum of ₦500,000. This gesture brought immense relief and motivation to the students, many of whom expressed deep appreciation for his unwavering fatherly support.
“Governor Zulum’s generosity did not end in Noida. Recognizing that the progress of Borno State lies in the education and empowerment of its youths, His Excellency extended the same financial support to Borno State Scholarship students studying at Integral University in Lucknow, where he repeated his message of encouragement and commitment to their well-being.
“Furthermore, the Governor ensured that Borno State Scholarship students studying in Malaysia also received the same assistance, reaffirming his long standing dedication to equity and fairness in the administration of scholarship interventions,” the statement added.

It noted that through the kind gesture by Zulum not only proved his visionary leadership but also exhibited his compassionate father figure who remains deeply invested in the future of Borno State.
“His continued support serves as a powerful source of inspiration for all students and reinforces his resolve to build a generation of well-educated, globally exposed, and positively impactful indigenes.
“The Borno State Scholarships Board remains grateful and committed to His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum CON, Mni, FNSE, FNIAE, support to Borno State students,” the statement concluded.
