Your plan to bribe Madagali APC exco into PDP dead on arrival, Ribadu tells Fintiri

The organizing secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu has disclosed that shamed by the massive defection of the people of Madagali local government into his party, governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has allocated a huge war chest which he intended to use in bribing APC party exco into PDP.

In a phone chat with our reporter, Ribadu who raised the alarm cautioned the APC faithful to be wary of such grand deception as the governor will also ditch them after fulfilling his diabolic desires just like the way he ditched the PDP exco and the entire people of Madagali local government.

“Shamed by the massive defection of majority of the PDP members in Madagali yesterday following the defection of former chief of staff to governor Bala James Nggilari, Chubado Babbi Tijjani, Fintiri has allegedly earmarked huge sums of money to lure back our party exco in Madagali local government into PDP.

“He wanted to use that as a smokescreen to show to the world that the exco are moving to PDP in protest to the defection of Tijjani into APC.

“At this juncture, we want to caution our members not allow themselves to be scammed because if Fintiri has taken care of the people, nobody would have left him or the party.

“Sometimes ago, the APC chairman of Michika and some ward excos were equally scammed and deceived into joining the PDP by the same governor. What is their fate today? Has the governor not abandoned them? I urge Madagali people to go to the former APC excos of Michika for tutelage before it is too late.

“The kind of squalor, destitution, poverty and complete breakdown of infrastructure we saw yesterday is a pointer to the fact that Fintiri wants power only to satisfy his avaricious caprices not to address the concerns of his plebian people who were apparently wallowing in dire economic and social predicaments occasioned by Boko Haram insurgency,” he said.

Ribadu said a governor who refused to take care of the party exco even at the state level will never respect the party exco at the local government level urging those being approached to exercise caution while dealing with the hawkish governor.

“It is on record that the party exco even at the state level are wallowing in abject neglect due to lack of patronage. That is why the state party secretariat is bereft of any activity despite the PDP being in power. Such neglect made one of our governorship aspirants, Abdulrazak Namdas to declare PDP as a dead party bereft of any activity recently.

“Some of the party officials at the state secretariat find it difficult to go to work over poor or non remuneration and lack of working tools. The state party secretariat is itself a story in neglect and abandonment. Apart from one or two excos who are in the good books of the governor, all the other excos are living in penury,” he added.

Ribadu who said he knew the people within his party being used to destabilize the party however urged them to retrace their steps as he will surely disclose their identities if they continue to take the odious path.
