Yelutide: NEMA, FRSC flags-off “Operation Eagle Eye” In North East

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched “Operation Eagle Eye” to reduced road accidents during the festive period in North East.

A statement on Monday in Maiduguri by the Principal Information Officer of NEMA, North East, Abdulkadir Ibrahim , said the measure was also to enlightened motorists and road users on safety measures.

Ibrahim said the annual event was flagged-off in Maiduguri by the Acting Zonal Coordinator North East, Mr Chinoko Isah who cautioned motorists against violation of traffic rules and regulations.

“Road Safety is every bodies business, I urge motorist to by traffic rule and speed limit to stay alive,” Ibrahim quoted Isah as saying.

He explained that FRSC personnels and those of NEMA Emergency Response Teams have been deployed across the major highways in Maiduguri and its environs to ensure prompt response before,during and after and Christmas and New Year celebrations.
