Victim Of Boko-Haram Attack Pleads For Government Support

 

A victim of Borno Haram attack recieving treatment at the Maiduguri Specialist Hospital for the past five years has urged for support from government.

The victim, Ali Jigile from Kirawa in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno made the call on Saturday while speaking to personel of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Special Marshals and National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) who visited the hospital to make some humanitarian presentations to accident victims.

The 40 year old Jigile said he was shot on the hip by insurgents and has been at the orthopaedic ward of the hospital for the past five years without support from government.

“I have been hearing about government support to victims but I have been here for the part five years without any support from government,” Jigile said.

Jigile who is being catered for by his elderly mother, thanked FRSC and its collaborators for the toiletries and detergents presented to him and other patients in ward, and urged that his complaint be taken to government and other relevant agencies for intervention.

The visit to Maiduguri Specialist Hospital Orthopaedic Ward and University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital Trauma Centre by FRSC and other stakeholders is part of activities marking World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Crash Victims.
