The University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) on Wednesday conducted bidding for 2023 capital projects in the hospital to enhance service delivery.
Speaking at the event in Maiduguri observed by representative of Code of Conduct Bureau, ICPC and the media, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Prof. Ahmed Ahidjo, said bidders had been acquinted with the requirements inline with due process.
Ahidjo was represented by the Assistant Director Procurement, Mallam Suleiman Buba.
The projects include: Extension of equipment of Radiology Department, procurement and installation of MRI and construction of new cardiac centre.
Others are: contruction and equipping of drug rehabilitation centre, construction of ICT centre, procurement and installation of medical laboratory, Renovation and equipping of hospital wards and Completion and equipping of international radiology centre.”
Over 20 firms participated in the bidding.
