Trending: More Nigerians Join Abaribe In Demanding President Buhari’s Resignation

The Senate Minority leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe cooked up a storm that kept trending within and outside Nigeria when  he demanded the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari from office.

The Senator representing Abia-South Senatorial District of Abia State while contributing to a debate on the current state of Nigeria’s security the floor of the Senate, claimed that the Buhari-led administration and All Progressives Congress has failed Nigerians.

The lawmaker made his position known while contributing to a motion sponsored by the Senate leader, Yahaya Abdullahi on national security.

Following the call, the Presidency has swiftly replied the Senator in a statement on Wednesday night, through the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Buhari, Garba Shehu, who noted that if anyone was to resign it would be Senator Abaribe.

The presidency said the position adopted by Abaribe does not represent the view of Nigerians.

However, more Nigerians have now taken to Twitter to air their views on the call for Buhari’s resignation as well as the tenure of the nation’s security chiefs vis-a-viz the war against Boko Haram insurgents and other terrorists.

If you can’t find solutions to bandits, Boko Haram attacks it is better to resign. President Buhari should resign if he cannot fight insecurity which is one of what he swore over and undertook as the C-in-C… After all he once called on GEJ to resign to

The question we are supposed to be asking is,where should we gather to stone them, the APC people.

Before he became President,we were only battling Boko Haram.

Years after, under his nose,we now have BH,ISWAP,Bandits, cattle rustlers.

Femi Adesina would argue it

Just the way we made possible, let’s all support Abaribe to ensure that

The government of the day should learn how to take responsibility at all times. They should be made to resign when they no longer have the clue to solving our problems https://twitter.com/TosinOlugbenga/status/1222742341376712706

Senator Abaribe said “This government said if they didn’t perform Nigerians should stone, so we are ready to stone this govt….Those who live by propaganda must die by propaganda”

So he called on the govt headed by @MBuhari to resign. #BuhariResign

Buhari’s incompetence is evident in every sector. He has shown that he lacks the capacity to lead and even worse as a follower.

Insecurity, unemployment, nepotism, abuse of power, high cost of governance, hunger and extra judicial killings is on the rise.
