The team of officials, sports men and women representing Borno in this year’s National Sports Festival “Edo 2020” have arrived Benin City.
A statement by Ibrahim Tukur, the Information Officer of Borno Sports Council, said the team arrived safely
“Team Borno state arrived safely, both players and officials are in high spirit to give a proper representation of the state in all games,” Tukur said.
Tukur also said that the contingent from Borno had gone through the medical protocols of COVID-19 as laid down by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control and the National Sports Commission, adding that all athletes and officials were certified free of Coronavirus.
He also quoted the state Coordinator, Alhaji Bashir Mohammed urging the players and officials to be good ambassadors of the state by reciprocating the support given them by Gov. Babagana Zulum though the Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Sainna Buba by putting in their best.
