Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has congratulated his counterpart of Taraba, Gov. Darius Ishaku over his victory at the Supreme Court.
Fintiri in statement by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou said the outcome was the reflection of his acceptance by the people of Taraba.
“His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has congratulated Governor Darius Ishaku on his victory in the February 28th Governorship election In Taraba State.
“Governor Fintiri said Darius Ishaku deserved the victory given his widespread acceptance across the state.
” Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said Wednesday’s judgement of the Supreme Court affirming his electoral victory has further demonstrated that his election was indeed a true reflection of the wishes of the people of Taraba state.
“His Excellency advised Governor Darius to extend a hand of fellowship to the opposition in Taraba state and dedicate himself to re-uniting the people and be the Governor to all,” the statement said.
It quoted Fintiri as saying that the path has been cleared for Darius to focus on piloting the state affairs towards lifting Taraba higher in his second term as Governor.
