SSANU confers outstanding philanthropist of the year award on Dr. Emmanuel Musa

The senior staff association of Nigerian Universities, (SSANU), Adamawa State University Mubi, has today showered one of her proud product, Dr Emmanuel Nachamada Musa with the award of outstanding Philanthropist of the year.

This award comes barely three weeks after he was awarded with the humanitarian man of the year, by the Arewa newspaper, a renowned media house based in Kano. Little wonder, the business mogul is christened the man of many awards.

In her statement, the chairperson of the association, Adamawa State University, Comr. Bifam Yakubu, described Dr. Emmanuel as a proud product of the university, adding that his contributions to human development is making the institution proud.

While responding to the award received, Dr Emmanuel Musa, represented by his chief of staff, Comr. Kukuya Godwin expressed his delight to the Union who deemed it fit to award their product.

The chief of staff in his remarks, charged the University and the union to Consider entrepreneurship as the impetus for human capacity building, self reliance and poverty reduction.

He emphasized that Dr. Musa if not for entrepreneurship would have been roaming the streets of one of the Cities in Nigeria, searching for job, but today, he is an employer of labour, with nearly a thousand youths earning a living under him. He has also touched the lives of the poor, the vulnerable and the downtrodden in diverse ways, bringing succor to their plights.

He further charge the Union and the University to pay attention to the moral behavior of the students, lamenting that the rate of moral decadence in our communities today is alarming and needs to be curtailed, lest we be consumed by the menace of societal decay.

“Today, without any fear of Contradiction, the moral values is daily dwindling. Most of the students on Campuses, who are invariably the leaders of tomorrow indulge into menaces of hard drugs addiction, cultism, gangsterism and all forms of immoralities”, he lamented.
