Staff sergeant Ibrahim Kane who lost his life on the line of duty as a result of accidental gunshot by a police officer at Numan check point on 29 May, 2022, has been buried at Gibson Jalo cantonment cemetery today.
The representative of Adamawa State government who doubles as permanent secretary on security, Mr Usman Suleiman extended the heart felt condolence of the executive governor of Adamawa state His Excellency Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to the immediate family and Nigerian Army at large.
In the same vein, the Governor donated the sum of two million naira to the immediate family.
Additionally the commander 23 brigade reiterated the effort the command at ensuring that the benefits of the deceased is speedily processed.
The commander also assured the family to be free to consult the brigade whenever the need arises.
Efforts are also in place to conclude investigation on the detained policeman responsible for the unfortunate incident.
In attendance at the burial was the representative of Adamawa state Government, Commander 23 brigade, Brigadier General Aminu M Garba, 23 Brigade Garrison Commander, representative of Adamawa state police command, family of the deceased and officers and men of 23 Brigade.
