Shun evil forces calling for national revolt, Adamawa APC urges Nigerians
~ Says Tinubu deserves support of all citizens for engendering solid reforms
Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Nigerians to shun dark forces and conflict entrepreneurs calling on them to protest against the president Ahmed Tinubu led administration due to the debilitating consequences of such actions which can throw the country into anarchy and restiveness.
The call was coming up in the wake of agitations by some Nigerians for peaceful protest over rising inflation and hardship in the land.
The APC stakeholders also called on Nigerians to be wary of such people who were in the first place responsible for Nigeria’s woes urging the youth to call the bluff of such war mongers by remaining peaceful, calm and law abiding as president Tinubu meticulously address the critical challenges facing the country.
During a high powered stakeholders meeting at the state secretariat of the party sequel to the consultation meeting which the party kick-started in it’s move to bring all stakeholders on the same table, the party insisted that dialogue and meditation are the only solutions to Nigeria’s challenges not confrontation.
In his address during the Tuesday meeting, Adamawa State chairman of the party, Barr. Idris Shuaibu said president Ahmed Bola Tinubu deserves the support and cooperation of all Nigerians due to the solid reforms he is instituting which will naturally come with some bitter experiences.
He noted that president Ahmed Bola Tinubu deserves to be celebrated for the far reaching reforms he has started putting in place which will definitely lead to fruition in the nearest future.
Shuaibu noted that some of the far reaching reforms of the Tinubu led administration include, local government reforms which has rescued the third tier of government from the odious grip of the state governments.
He also extolled the president for the measures he is putting in checkmating the social insecurity hobbling the nation as well as resetting the economy adding that such valiant strides will surely put the nation on recovery path, alleviate poverty and return power to the people.
Shuaibu also added that Adamawa people need to embrace the Tinubu led administration for the love and olive branch it extended to the state culminating in the appointment of the NSA, minister of education as well as many sons and daughters of Adamawa into very important positions in the government.
Also making a case against the protest, the state secretary of the party Dr. Raymond Chidama noted that it will not be in the spirit of the North for its sons to protest against a southerner who is just a year old into the government when the same people refused to protest against the immediate past government which is responsible for all the socio political crisis in the country.
He added that going by the landmark victory which Tinubu recorded in the last election from the North, there is no gainsaying that northerners love the president more than the south where he got lesser votes adding that the North should not allow itself to be deceived into rebelling against it’s own creation.
Chidama added that apart from the social insecurity which the president is working round the clock to contain, other areas the president is seriously working to address is the out-of-school syndrome which is prevalent in the North and education in general adding that because of the president’s resolve to tackle the myriad of challenges in the education sector, he appointed a son of Adamawa, Professor Tahir Mamman as the minister of education.
He said the subsidy removal and the floating of the naira are also inevitable despite their harshness because these policies where the saving grace of the Nigerian economy in order to save it from imminent collapse.
Also speaking, the organizing secretary of the party, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu appreciated the fact that the country is wading through serious challenges as a consequence of years of wastage, maladministration and poor leadership adding that addressing these challenges will always be associated with pains.
He also noted that in it’s move to regain its lost glory, the party has also embarked on an audacious reconciliation drive adding that very soon APC will bounce back to life and will regain its vitality.
Ribadu chided those whom he accused of spreading false narratives against him in a move to blackmail him and besmirch his hard earned reputation through frivolous allegations noting that they will be put to shame in no distant future.
He challenged those who are blackmailing him of collecting handouts from the state governments to clearly probe their points, otherwise they should shut up.
