Seyi Tinubu visits Yola, engages youths, supports indigent patients
Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and founder of the Renewed Hope Youth Initiative (RHYE), has paid a visit on Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, as part of his nationwide tour to engage with Nigerian youths and promote national unity.
The visit provided him with a valuable opportunity to interact with youth groups, political leaders, and traditional rulers, fostering connections at the grassroots level to drive holistic development across the country.
During his meetings with various stakeholders, Seyi Tinubu emphasized the importance of unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding among Nigeria’s diverse youth population.
He stressed that a united and empowered youth is key to nation-building, encouraging youth to embrace opportunities for skill development, economic empowerment, and active civic participation.
His discussions focused on identifying ways to support young entrepreneurs, expand educational opportunities, and bridge gaps in employment, ensuring that Nigerian youths are equipped to contribute meaningfully to the country’s progress.
Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, Seyi Tinubu’s visit also included charitable activities aimed at assisting the less privileged. Under the RHYE initiative, he organized a feeding program in Yola, providing meals to needy individuals and persons with disabilities.
This initiative aligns with his commitment to promote social welfare and encouraging acts of charity during this sacred period. The outreach was well received by the beneficiaries, further cementing his vision of inclusive community engagement and social responsibility.
Beyond his engagement with youth, Seyi Tinubu extended financial assistance to indigent patients by donating N6.24 million to the Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital (MAUTH) paupers’ fund. This contribution aims to facilitate the medical treatment of underprivileged patients who cannot afford essential healthcare services.
His gesture was widely praised, with hospital authorities and beneficiaries expressing gratitude for his compassion and commitment to healthcare access for all.
During the visit, Seyi Tinubu held fruitful discussions with key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, political figures, and youth leaders. One of the highlights of his trip was his meeting with the Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness Dr. Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, where they discussed the unity, progress, and development of Nigeria.
Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, the Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, described the visit as a significant engagement that provided an avenue for stakeholders to discuss pressing issues with Seyi Tinubu. He expressed optimism that Adamawa State was poised for positive transformation following the discussions.
“Seyi Tinubu’s visit to Yola reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment, social welfare, and national unity. By engaging with local leaders, supporting the less privileged, and funding medical care for indigent patients, he demonstrated a hands-on approach to governance and development,” he said.
