Ribadu was the best EFCC chairman in history – Murum Mbula
The first class traditional ruler of Borrong kingdom in Adamawa State, HRM Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo, Mboiman II, has showered plaudits and encomiums on the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu whom he described as the best chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in history.
The royal father who made the comment during a visit by the officials of All Progressives Congress (APC) led by the Adamawa State chairman of the party, Barr. Idris Shuaibu who visited the palace on behalf of the NSA to felicitate with him in celebration of Christmas festivity, said, Ribadu was a square peg in a square hole when it comes to security matters.
“The importance of appointing Nuhu Ribadu as NSA cannot be overemphasized. This is as a result of his competence and integrity as a security man. He is also well qualified for the job.
“Ribadu has played his cards right when he was in EFCC. I think he was about the only EFCC chairman that came out clean. We thank almighty that has kept him fit and we are happy that he has sent this delegation to us. It gives us the royal fathers a sense of belonging,” he said.
He noted that with such cooperation and synergy with the traditional institution, he was upbeat that the security challenges bedeviling the nation will be easily tackled by the incumbent administration.
“Security needs top to bottom approach as well as bottom top approach which will make the security matters easier to handle. We are sure that during his time in office, Nigeria will experience peace, progress and prosperity. The best we can do for him is to put him in our prayers. We assure him of our full support and I believe this synergy will lead to the resolution of a lot of security challenges,” he said.
In his remark, the representative of the National Security Adviser (NSA) and chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State extolled the traditional institution for its commitment towards the entrenchment of peace, unity and stability of the nation.
He pledged continuous cooperation to the revered institution in order to ensure the attainment of peace, unity and progress in the country.
“The NSA wanted to come and pay this homage to you personally but the exigencies of his office could not allow him to do so.
“He asked us to represent him and felicitate with you on the occasion of this year’s Christmas and to wish you a happy new year in advance.
“The NSA also directed us to convey his words of appreciation to you for the roles you are playing at entrenching peace, unity and understanding amongst our populace. He specifically pledged to continue to work hand in hand with the traditional institutions to achieve peace and development.
“As the bastion of culture, sanctity and morality, the traditional institution will continue to play a significant role in the evolution of our nation and we shall accord you all the cooperation you need,” Ribadu said.
