Member representing Chibok/Damboa/Gwoza Federal Constituency in Borno, Ahmed Jaha Babawo, has distributed empowerment materials to some less privileged members in his constituency.
The items distributed comprised 360 deep freezers, 100 sewing machines and 13 buses.
Speaking at the event, Babawo also announced the presentation of four ambulances to Gwoza, Chibok, Damboa and Ngoshe hospitals.
According to Babawo, 300 deep freezers were given to him by the Centre for Women Development while the remaining 60 were presented to him by friends who also donated 100 sewing machines.
“The 13 buses were they ones he used for campaign while the four new ambulances for Gwoza, Chibok, Damboa and Ngoshe hospitals are donated through me by NDIC,” Babawo said.
Jaha said that the exercise which was the 13th as part of his constituency project within the past four years would be sustain during his second tenure.
He lauded Gov. Babagana Zulum for transforming the state, adding that the governor has been his mentor.
Speaking at the event, Gov. Zulum commended the lawmaker for his empowerment programmes and urged them to make maximum use of it to better thier lives.
Zulum also reiterated the commitment of his administration to do more in delivering his campaign promises to the people of the constituency and the state in general.
