Gov. Babagana Zulum of Borno has on Monday presented assorted food items, clothing materials and cash to 285 casual workers in Government House as Ramadan gift.
Addressing the workers in Government House, Zulum also announced the approval N30,000 monthly for the casual workers as against N10,000.
“I am giving you this as Ramadan gift. Each of you will get a bag of rice, 10 kg of sugar, one gallon of cooking oil, two kilograms of meat.
“Each one of you will get a wrapper, five yard of male clothing material and the sum of N20,000.
“I also want to inform you that your monthly stipend of N10,000 has been jerk up to N30,000,” Zulum said.
He urged them to use the Ramadan period to pray for peace in Borno and Nigeria in general.
Zulum also urged them to use the period to pray for God guidance for leaders.
The governor also tasked them on proper upbringing of thier children and wards.
