Plateau Publishers Set To Conduct Its first Maiden Election

Newspapers Publishers under the auspices of  Plateau  Publishers Association (PPA) plateau State chapter, had Concluded arrangement to conduct its first maiden election for various executive positions.

 

Interim Management Committee of the Plateau Association said it is now time has concluded arrangements to conduct Elections to Elects Executive officials to manner  the   affairs of the Association in the next three years.

 

Briefing the press men at the Reality newspaper’s Office along Rweng pam street in Jos, the interim Chairman of the committee who double as the  Publisher of the African Drum magazine, Mr. Joseph Adudu explained that the elections  has been  fixed tentatively on the 28th April, 2019.

 

He Commended the state government, and other high ranking  personalities  in the state, most especially  the Director General of the Industrial Training Fund, Sir Joseph Ari for intervening in the crisis hitherto rocking the Association which led to it fictionalization .

 

He said with the DG’s intervention, both factions have merged together with a firm resolved to work under the aegis of Plateau Publishers Association for the promotion of peace Journalism for the development of the state.

 

He said the Association has so far constituted a Constitutional drafting committee to work on the Association’s Code of conduct.

 

Adding that authentic members of the Association have been screened and will be participating in the election, saying, interested candidates have picked interest forms for various positions.

 

Other members of the committee are Valentin Adese ,publisher of the Reality Newspaper, who serve as the Secretary of the committee, and Pastor Tom Kuska Publicity Secretary of the Committee.
