Journalism has become one of the world’s most dangerous professions, making the courageous achievements of this year’s Media Observers’ Award winners particularly meaningful.
Four International reporters working for were VOA, BBC and other local media including this medium,The Newshawk were honoured with prestigious awards by the group in a big ceremony held in Yola, Adamawa state.
The journalists are: Ibrahim Abdul’Aziz (VOA), Nasiru Adamu El Hikaya VOA, Ibrahim Isa BBC and Ishak Khalid BBC.
Beside journalists, the group Media Observers also recognized a Female warrior and Hunter who helped in the fight against Boko Haram Hajiya Aisha Bakari Gombi.
