Security operatives on Monday stormed the palace of the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II and took him to an unknown destination.
The state Police Commissioner, Habu Ahmed Sani led the security operatives that took the Emir away.
The action followed the removal of the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, from office by the state government on Monday.
The security personnel that included men of the Department of State Service, Nigeria Police and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) prevented entry and exit of people from the palace when the Emir was taken away.
A source told Solacebase that the Emir was taken to Nasarawa state.
