The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has won all the 21 local government council chairmanship position in the Saturday’s LG elections in Adamawa.
The chairman of Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), Mallam Isa Shetima, announced the results on Sunday.
Shetima said the result of councillors for the 226 wards had been announced at the local government levels.
The elected chairmen are to collect their certificates of return on Monday (tomorrow)
Meanwhile, a statement by Secretary to Adamawa State Government (SSG), Bashiru Ahmed, said Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri has approved Monday for the swearing-in of all the 21 elected chairmen at Ribadu Square, Yola, by 9 am.
“Government is by this notice, inviting everyone, including members of the opposition to attain,” the SSG said.
