‎Ongoing Ganye–Mbulo–Jada road project will be completed in record time – Ribadu

‎The Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, has reassured residents of Ganye Chiefdom that the ongoing multi-billion naira Ganye–Mbulo–Jada road network will be completed in record time, dismissing rumors that the project was politically motivated.

‎Speaking to newsmen on the project, Ribadu said the road construction was part of the federal government’s strategic efforts to transform infrastructure in Adamawa State and across the North East.

‎He emphasized that the contractor had already deployed heavy equipment and was working round the clock to deliver the project within scheduled time.

‎“I want to assure the good people of Ganye Chiefdom that the federal government under the able leadership of our amiable President is working earnestly to make life better for the common man.

‎“Contrary to speculations by the opposition political party that the project was contrived to achieve a political goal and will stop immediately after the election, the ongoing project is not only on course but will be completed in record time,” he said.

‎The assurance amidst concerns by some opposition figures who claimed that the project was designed merely as a campaign tool to influence the recently concluded Ganye constituency bye-election. According to them, work would slow down once the election dust settled.

‎But Ribadu dismissed the claims as deliberate distortions and attempt to mislead the people, stressing that infrastructure development was a key priority of the APC-led government at both federal and state levels.

‎He explained that the Ganye–Mbulo–Jada road was carefully chosen due to its socio-economic importance, linking farming communities, improving access to markets, and easing transportation across the zone.

‎“The road will not only boost trade, commerce and agriculture but will also transform lives in general. The road construction is a legacy project and a game changer that will touch every household in Ganye Chiefdom and beyond,” he said.

‎Residents of Ganye and neighboring communities have long demanded the rehabilitation of the road, which has been in bad shape for over forty years.

‎As a result of years of neglect, the road has become nearly impassable, disrupting commerce and daily life.

‎With the ongoing works, there is renewed optimism among farmers, traders, and transporters who see the project as a lifeline for their businesses.

‎Community leaders have expressed happiness and support to the federal government over the project.

‎Chief Umaru Danladi, said the road project was already changing the face of the area and restoring confidence in government promises.

‎“For many years, we prayed for this kind of intervention. Today, our hope is rekindled. We are confident that this project will open new opportunities for our youth and farmers,” he said.
