North East Cooperative Forum To Support Cooperative Groups In Borno

The North East Cooperative Stakeholders Forum is to register cooperative groups in Borno as part of measures to coordinate them in reviving the lost glory of the state in commercial activities. 

The chairman of the forum, Barrister Abdullahi Jalo, made this known on Sunday at a press briefing in Maiduguri. 

Jalo said the forum poised to enhance cooperative activities in the North East would partner relevant groups including NUJ for journalists to benefit.

He said that the forum leadership would inaugurate its Borno chapter and meet with the Commissioner for Sports, Youth and Poverty Alleviation.

Jalo who is an APC chieftain from Gombe, urged for support from to government at all level to enable it deliver dividends of democracy, adding that there was no cause for alarm over the speculation that Tinubu administration is moving federal capital to Abuja, pointing out the need for government to henceforth enlightened the public on it’s good intentions regarding any policy to avoid misunderstanding. 

Also speaking,  the Secretary of the forum, Aliyu Abdullahi, and the leader of the forum in Borno,  Alhaji Lawan Mustafa, who added more information on the objectives of the forum in boosting cooperative  activities in Borno, urged for support and collaboration with relevant stakeholders including NUJ.
