The Onowu Idi Igbo Adamawa State, Chief John Ofoebuna, as disclosed that the unity of Nigeria is the paramount agenda of the Igbo nation.
Chief Ofoebuna who spoke to journalists during the Igbo day celebration in Adamawa State on Sunday, pointed out that those beating drums of disunity will not succeed in their plans to create disharmony in the country.
“The prayer we pray is that the future should not hold more suffering, but more good things and happiness,” he said.
He maintained that it is only in unity that Nigerians will enjoy the benefits of democracy and development will take place at all levels in the country.
Chief Ofoebuna who appealed to those singing war songs to have a rethink and take the path of peace,noted that no country develop in crisis.
He commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri,for his giant stride in developing the state and bringing total peace in the state.
“We the Igbo people in Adamawa state are very proud of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri,he bring total peace in the state and created a conducive business environment for we Igbo people and everyone doing business in the state,” he said.
Chief Ofoebuna urged the Igbo people in Adamawa state to team up with the governor and support his administration for more development in the state.
