The newly appointed Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai, Maj.Gen I.S Ali on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on the Borno State Commissioner of Police, CP Abdu Umar.
A statement by the spokesman of the Borno Police Command, ASP S.K Shatambaya, said the Theatre was accompanied to the Police Command Headquarters by top members of his management team
“The Theater Commander while making his remarks, stressed that the aim of the visit is solely to familiarize himself and his entourage with the command and to further seek for the strengthening of the existing synergy and collaboration with the command.
“He thereafter appreciated the CP for the wonderful job he has been doing to ensure that all forms of crimes and criminality is being reduced if not totally eliminated, adding that the succeses recorded has manifested everywhere in the state.
“The theatre commander further added that two hands are better than one,as such they need each other particularly that 2023 general election is so much forthcoming.
“In his response, the commissioner of police CP ABDU UMAR welcomed and appreciated the new Theater Commander for coming, stressing that his coming is so timely, and the relationship between the police and the military has been so cordial and positive and it would continue to be like that.
“The CP also stressed that his heart was gladdened by the presence of the TC and his entourage, and promise not to only synergize but also collaborate with them to ensure safer Borno and Nigeria at large,” the statement concluded.
