The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has presented food and non food items for orphans in the North East Children’s Trust (NECT), Maiduguri.
A statement by the Principal Information Officer, North East Zonal Office, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, said the items were presented to the institution by the NEMA Zonal Coordinator, Wagami Lydia Madu on behalf of the Director General NEMA, AVM Muhammadu Muhammed (rtd).
“The school is for orphaned children affected by insurgency in North East of Nigeria.
“NEMA has been supporting the school to provide succour to the children,” the statement added.
The statement said that the items were received on behalf of the school by the Principal Coordinator, Sikiru Olawoyin, who thanked NEMA for the gesture and sustained support to the school over the years.
