The Nasrul-lahi-li Fathi Society of Nigeria, has presented nutritional food items and toiletries for over 130 patients at the Yola Specialist Hospital.
Presenting the items to the hospital, the Adamawa Chapter Chairman of the society Alhaji Idris Mikail, said the gesture was inline with NASFAT’s commitment to support the sick and needy in the society.
Mikail, who led the distribution through a representative urged organizations and well to do members of the public to always extend helping hand to the needy ones, particularly those on hospital beds.
“NASFAT is committed to discharging its social responsibility inline with religious teachings,” Mikail said.
He said that NASFAT with about 200,000 members has embarked on construction of Jumma’at mosque in Jambutu area of Yola, while plans had been concluded to set up branches across the 21 LGAs of the state.
Sarah Johson, who benefited from the NASFAT support, urged other organization to emulate in ameliorating the hardship of the less privileged.
Another patient, Haruna Ahmed, lauded the gesture which he said meant a lot to him and other beneficiaries.
