NADCEL: Sector 3 Holds Juma’at, Interdenominational Service In Monguno

As part of events to mark this year’s Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL), officers and men of Sector 3, Operation Hadin Kai, Monguno, on Sunday held an Inter-Denominational Service to commemorate the event.

A statement by Maj. Ojo Adenegan, the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations of the sector and Multinational Joint Task Force said similar prayers were observed by Muslims faithfuls of the command on Friday.

“Christian faithful officers and men of Sector 3 OP HADIN KAI and Multinational Joint Task Force today Sunday 3 July 2022 holds Interdenominational Service in commemoration of this year Nigerian Army Day Celebration at St Lukes Military Church (Prot) in Kinasara Cantonment Monguno.

“The service was conducted by the Protestant Chaplain Maj. M.S Dallys and the Roman Catholic Chaplain Lt (Rev Fr ) B.T Atoyebi, where officers and men were urged to always be an instrument of peace.

“In his message, the Commander Sector 3 OP HADIN KAI and Multinational Joint Task Force Maj General Godwin Mutkut , who was represented by Commanding Officer 381 Artillery Regiment. Lt. Col. Micheal O. Olasegba said the Nigerian Army Day Celebration is a special celebration in the Nigerian Army.

“He urged the troops to continue obeying constituted authorities while discharging thier duty and and also pray for the souls of the departed colleagues who paid the supreme price in cause of the fight against insurgents.

” He also urged for prayer for more successes in the fight against insurgency and for deceased and their families.

“Similarly, Muslim faithfuls of Sector 3 OP HADIN and Multinational Joint Task Force observed Jumma’at prayers on Friday 1 July in commemoration of this year Nigerian Army Day Celebration at Kinasara Cantonment Central Mosque which was coordinated by the Sector Imam, Capt. M.H Ilal Amam.

“The representative of the Sector Commander, Commander Artillery Brigade Brig. Gen. I.M Abbas, urged the troops to always believe that victory is from Almighty Allah and stressed the need to maintain the current tempo in the fight against the insurgents,” the statement added.
