The Commander Sector 4 of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Diffa in Niger Republic, Colonel Major Mamane Sani Kiaou has paid operational visit to his counterpart of OPHK/MNJTF Sector 3 in Monguno, Nigeria, Maj. Gen Abdulsalam Abubakar.
A statement from the spokesman of the Sector 3, Capt. Babatunde Zubairu, said the commanders discussed further plans on Joint operations against terrorists in the region during the Tuesday visit.
“During the visit, the Commander Sector 3 harped on the continious support and synergy which both Sectors had leveraged upon in the past especially during Operation Flood Sanity that was a combined joint operations conducted in the last Quarter of 2022 by both Sectors.
“Responding, the visiting Sector 4 Commander MNJTF, Colonel Major Mamane Sani Kiaou thanked his host for the warm reception.
“He acknowledged the synergy between both Sectors and looked forward to enhanced cooperation in the coming days as the combined forces prepare to conduct more operations in the joint operations area in line with the mandate of the MNJTF,” Zubairu said.
Highlights of the visit include the inspection of equipments and wreathlaying at the Sector 3 Cenotaph in honour of all those who paid the supreme sacrifice.
On the entourage of the visiting commander are the Commander Air Base Command Sector 4 MNJTF, Lt Col Amadou Tchousso and Lt Col. Laouli Abdoulaziz.
Commander HQ 5 Bde, Brigadier General G.O Olorunyomi as well as other Commanders and Principal Staff Officers of Headquarters Sector 3 OPHK/MNJTF were also in attendance.
