His royal highness, the Emir of Mubi and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia, Alhaji Dr Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, has commiserated with Shehu of Borno, Dr Abubakar Umar Garbai El-Kanemi over the Alau Dam flood disaster that affected Maiduguri.
A statement by the Kakaki of the Emirate, said the royal father was represented by his council member, the Mutawallin Mubi, Alhaji Mustapha Njidda Tukur, and the District Head of Gude Dan Amar Mubi, Alhaji Sali Bello.
The delegation was received by the Shehu of Borno in his palace on Saturday.
Mutawallin Mubi, who spoke on behalf of HRH the Emir of Mubi and the emirate, console with the Shehu and the people of Borno over the devastating flood and pray to Allahu subhahu wata’ala, to forgive those who lost their lives, and replenish all the properties lost in the disaster.
A letter was presented to HRH the Shehu of Borno, which contains a message of consolation, condolence and sympathy over the incident.
Responding, the Shehu of Borno, thanked HRH, the Emir of Mubi for the show of empathy.
The Shehu called for persistent and consistent prayers to Allahu subhahu wata’ala, to deliver Borno over the disaster and other insecurities.
The Shehu also enjoined all Nigerians to be prayerful to Allahu subhahu wata’ala, to see Nigeria out of all her current challenges as a nation.
He thanked HRH the Emir of Mubi, delegation and the people of Mubi Emirate for the show of concern from a fellow royal father and the people of Mubi Emirates .
