KNOW THE 18TH ARDO (RULER) OF CHUBUNAWA; ARDO YAHYA ABUBAKAR FARUKU

The legendary Shakespeare, the famous literary legend &Icon, who stated in his numerous great works that some people are certainly born great and with great enthusiasm, while others achieve greatness, others have the greatness, thrust upon them.
ALHAJI YAHYA ABUBAKAR FARUKU, a technocrat, astitude Administrator and consumated civil servant and mentor, is has rightly fits into this description. He was born to the family of late Abubakar Faruku, on the 29th of December, 1954 in the heart of Michika, as a child of destiny as ordained. traditionally, he was enrolled into the traditional Quranic school (Sangaya) like any other child of his age/peer; then and graduated from the Quranic school and was enrolled into, the then Junior primary school Michika for his junior school certificate where he passed with merit and ushered into Senior primary school Michika where he yet again demonstrated educational prowess and merited an excellent grade and gained admission into the then famous Teachers College Mubi, in 1975; in his quest and zeal to persue his educational endeavours, he went to Federal college of Education Jalingo for his National Certificate of Education NCE, passed out in 1980, went for the National Youth service NYSC 1980/81; there after, he didn’t relent in his educational endeavours, this gave him admission into University of Maiduguri, where he completed his first Degree with BEd Mathematics.
Based on his superlative Educational performance, he saw himself into the civil service, where he started his civil service career, as a classroom teacher in various primary schools, Teachers training colleges & Secondary schools, across defunct Gongola and present Adamawa states.
The present ARDO Chubunawa (District head) Ag. In his Teaching career, he was a vice principal at GMMC Yola, TC Wukari and GSS Bazza.
In 1992, His Highness, delved into the main stream civil service as an administrator and was posted Director Personnel Management (DPM) Local government service commission (LGSC) Adamawa State, Civil Services Commission (CSC) Adamawa state as Secretary, Secretary Adamawa state government house, secretary Ministry of Education, Secretary Ministry of Women Affairs, he was promoted Deputy permanent Secretary (DPS) and posted to ministry for boarder Integration.
With the above chained of unblemished and uninterrupted services to the defunct Gongola and present Adamawa states, he was appointed permanent Secretary, ministry of Education and permanent Secretary ministry of commerce. The present appointed Ag. ARDO (District Head) of Chubunawa, Alhaji Yahya Abubakar Faruk, retired from the Adamawa state civil service as permanent Secretary.
He went home to rest and persue his life endeavours; as ordained by Allah, he was was appointed a member of the Adamawa state Executive Council as Honourable Commissioner ministry of Transport and Ministry of Education Science & Technology, where he served meritoriously.
In his passion, for the struggles for unity of Chubunawa Dynasty and indeed Michika Local government, has been very encouraging and acknowledging despite the challenges; he is always up and doing in all efforts to retrace the dynasty decades status in the comity of royal houses/royalty, not only in Adamawa state, but Nigerian Traditional institutions (Northern Nigeria). He has been in this vanguard unabated. His efforts along other patriots has today saw the yet again re-birt of the Chubunawa Dynasty as approved by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri con Sarki Yaki Mubi, fresh Air Governor, project master, people’s Governor and master of equity, justice and fairness.
Alhaji Yahya Abubakar Faruk, was appointed ARDO, Ag. District head of Chubunawa, in Michika Local government Area of Adamawa state via the approval of H. E GOVERNOR AHMADU UMARU FINTIRI CON SARKI MUBI EMIRATE, as made public by the MUBI EMIRATE.
Alhaji YAHYA ABUBAKAR FARUKU, Is from the core Chubunawa Dynasty and from the rulling house of ARDO Faruku, the 7th ARDO of Chubunawa who reing from, 1906 – 1908.
The dynasty was established by Late ARDO HAMMA CHUBUNI in 1826.( based on relevant historic records).
From the establishment of the Dynasty from 1826, by ARDO HAMMAN CHUBUNI, it has chained of Ardos/rulers from both the core dynasty and outside untill, today 2024, when it returns to it’s core once again.
By the year, 2026, Insha Allah, the dynasty going by history/available historic records, it will be two hundred years (200) years of existence.
On behalf of the dynasty, I present to you ALHAHI, YAHYA ABUBAKAR FARUKU, the 18th ARDO of Chubunawa Dynasty ( Ag. District Head), who is an epitome of modesty and humility, a dedicated public servant and a mentor.
