JUST IN: Sanusi Moved To Another Village In Nasarawa

Barring last-minute changes, arrangements have been concluded for the transfer of the dethroned emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II from Loko village to Awe local government area of Nasarawa State.

The Chief of Staff to the deposed emir, Munir Sanusi, told DAILY NIGERIAN that they have arrived at the Government House for onward movement to Awe.

Reporters observed that the state Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe and his State Security Service, SSS, counterpart, were at the Government House to receive the emir.

Reports say that prominent personalities, including Aliko Dangote, might have influenced the transfer, following concerns raised over the inaccessibility of the present village the emir had been banished to.

It was gathered that Awe is better than Loko village in terms of amenities.
