I will come back – Adamawa Governor Bindow Burst up

The outgoing Adamawa state governor Sen. Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has on Wednesday declared that in no distance future he will bounce back to rule the state again due to what he called ‘’ tremendous achievements ‘’ recorded in his first tenure.

 

Bindow who was speaking at this year’s workers day celebration, in Yola he also  has approved N30,000 as  minimum wage and assured to be the first to pay before May 29th,2019.

The governor stressed that once the federal government gazette  the national minimum wage, he will be the first governor  to pay before vacating office May 29th, just as he revealed  that his administration has never borrowed a “kobo” to do any capital project but borrowed to augment recurrent expenditure (Salaries).

‘’Soldier go; soldier come! I myself that I am speaking to you here today could be the last time I will be addressing this gathering for May day, or could be  one day I may come back  because Hausa people says ‘Jiki Magayi ne!’’

‘’So may day, God will also be very dynamic in His own way. But as  per as I am concern, I am an outgoing governor which I am very proud and very grateful to almighty Allah for giving me the opportunity and honour to serve especially the good and even the bad people of Adamawa state.

‘’ I am very proud to be to part and parcel of history of Adamawa state and hope and pray God will continue to bless the good people of Adamawa state after our office (tenure).

 

“I never borrowed a kobo to do any capital project, we only borrow to augment salary, I have paid your salaries up to update, no salaries arrears i have not paid.

 

‘’It’s unfortunate that some people supposed  to be respecting themselves resort to go to feature in radio or Tv stations  telling  lies, that Governor Bindow had borrowed N150 billion. I had never collected any loan,’’   Bindo said.

 

 

The Chairman of the state Labour Union NLC),Comrade Emmanuel Fashe in his speech called on the state government to consider training and retraining of state civil servants for optimal productivity.
