Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) says he was overwhelmed by his reappointment which showed the level of confidence reposed in him by President Muhammadu Buhari.Speaking to newsmen on the development Sunday in Yola, Mustafa said the development was a sober time for him to do everything consciously in appreciation to God and Mr President for the opportunity.”I am overwhelmed by the level of confidence reposed in me by the president himself and the entire nation to handle the affairs of state in the office of the SGF.”It’s a sober time for me; I am weigh down with the enormity of the office and the trust that has been bestowed in my hands.”That trust and confidence I have in my hands must not be abused because the destinies and the lives of the people of this country hang in a balance by certain actions or inactions that I will do functioning in that office,” Mustafa said.The SGF who spoke on tackling poverty said that President Buhari had already set the tune when he promised to take 100 million Nigerians out of poverty on democracy day, adding that what was left now was for him and other appointees to work towards actualizing the promise.Mustapha said the executive was also in touch with the legislative arm in creating enabling environment and necessary legislations to make things work.He said that recent successes in area of security showed that things are working in that direction, adding that his office was also working with stakeholders like traditional and religious leaders for more public support to security agencies.Mustapha tasked the media to also do more in mobilizing public support to security agencies as well as the laudable government programmes to transform the nation.
