The Youth for Good Governance (CYGG) has asked the Gombe state governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya and the security agencies in the state over plans by one Abare Kala, a lecturer with federal university Kashere and national secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Mr. Daramola Joseph to cause religious crisis in the state.
The spokesman of the group, Mr. Joseph Bitrus, while briefing journalists on Sunday in Gombe said that Rev. Abare Kala in connivance with national secretary of CAN Mr. Daramola Joseph, are planning to cause religious crisis on Monday, by installing Gombe CAN chairman illegally.
The group said that they are fully prepared to use the last drop of their blood to defend the soul of the association in Gombe State.
“We want to inform the governor of Gombe state that Rev. Abare Kala is planning a religious crisis in the state. The suspension of Gombe chairman of CAN was just because he congratulated a Muslim Pantami. We the youth in Gombe state will not tolerate division on religious lines we are all brothers and sisters. Kala should be arrested urgently by security agencies before Gombe will be in flames,” he stated.
He said that his group members are fully mobilized in the entire north east to checkmate what ever illegality Kala and Daramola want to cause in Gombe.
“We are ready to sacrifice our lives to sustain CAN, so we are alerting government and security agencies on time because if decisive action is not taken, I think tomorrow, Monday will be late. Kala and Daramola should be held responsible for any actions that we are going to take tomorrow Monday, if they try to take law into their hands,” he said.
Bitrus Who accused Kala of trying to install a robot to help him push his deputy governor ambition in 2023, urged the people of Gombe not to vote for any political party that will pick him as deputy governor because of his religious sentiment.
“Kala want to be deputy governor and he hate Muslims, so who is he going to be his deputy? He is not an official of CAN his tenure as north east national vice chairman expired long ago, in what capacity is he operating?” he queries.
