Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri congratulates His Grace, the Archbishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Most Reverend Dr Musa Panti Filibus on his re-election as Archbishop for another five year tenure.
A statement by Humwashi Wonosikou, press secretary to the Governor made available to newsmen Friday said, “I congratulate you heartily and wish you a successful tenure. I am optimistic that you would continue to provide great leadership to the Church, and looking forward to your continued belief in the unity and progress of Adamawa State.”
While also looking forward to a continued working relationship with the LCCN Spiritual leader, Governor Fintiri encouraged Archbishop Filibus to work with other religious leaders to confront the evils of the times ravaging the nation.
“I am hopeful that you will continue to use your knowledge and bring your experience and friendship to bear on the peace-building efforts of the government,” the governor added.
While wishing Archbishop Musa Filibus well and the very best, the Governor described him as a “Man of God who is experienced not only in pastoral work and ecumenism, but also wider leadership qualities and peace building initiatives.
“Little wonder you are trusted with leading Lutheran faithful across the world as President of the Lutheran World Federation,” Fintiri said.
Archbishop Musa Panti Filibus was re-elected on Thursday November 24th by the house of Clergy and representatives from the nine Dioceses of the Church.
