Gov. Babagana Zulum of Borno has withdrew the name of Dr Iibrahim Yusuf Ngoshe from the list of commissioner nominees forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The Governor had on Friday submitted the list of 18 nominees in an Executive Letter to the Speaker of the House.
A statement on Saturday by the Governor’s spokesman, Mallam Isa Gusau, confirming the withdrawal of Ngoshe did not give reason for the development.
“By this, the number of commissioner nominees, is down from 18 to 17. Further details will be provided should the need arise,” Gusau simply said.
