The Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo, has approved the constitution of a 16- member committee to organize the 210 Anniversary of Fombina Dynasty.
A statement Thursday in Yola by the Secretary of the Organizing Committee, Yakubu Abdullahi, said the committee has the Galadima of Adamawa Emirate, Alhaji Mustapha Aminu as chairman.
Members of the committee include Karshi of Adamawa and former Adamawa Deputy Governor, Alhaji Sa’ad Tahir; Magatakarda Adamawa, Amb. James Barka; Sardauna Adamawa, Dr Ahmed Aliyu; Kaura Adamawa, Hon. Mustafa Barkindo; Sarki Hurumi Adamawa, Alhaji Abdulkadir Aminu; Kaigama Adamawa, Prof. Umar Pate; Dan Madami Adamawa, Alhaji Dahiru Bobbo; Santuraki Adamawa, Engr. Hussaini Suleiman; and Zanna Adamawa, Alhaji Lawan Mohammad.
Others are District Head of Gurin, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammadu, District Head of Mayo-Farang, Alhaji Musdafa Ardo, District Head of Malabu, Alhaji Aliyu Hammawa, Prof. Danjuma Gambo and the General Manager of Pulaaku FM Radio, Alhaji Umaru Sambo.
Fombina Dynasty known today as Adamawa Emirate was founded by Moddibo Adama who was born in 1786.
