The Force Commander (FC) of Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Maj. Gen. G.U Chibuisi has tasked troops to effectively put into use training acquired for maximum results in operations.
A statement by the spokesman of the MNJTF, Lt. Col. Kamarudeen Adegoke, said that Gen. Chibuisi made the call on Friday while addressing troops at the closing ceremony of the Nautical Training organized for troops at Djouguia N’Djamena.
Chibuisi who observed that every equipment is as good as the operator, said training remain necessary tool in enhancing performance.
The FC noted the vibrant and positive attitude of the troops towards training which he said showed their commitment towards the fight against terrorism.
“The FC further stated that realistic and relevant training has continued to provide troops with requisite skills to confront the terrorists. This has in turn paved way for a peaceful and secured environment that has enabled internally displaced persons to return to their ancestral homes.
“It has also led to an improvement in socio – economic activities in the communities and encouraged many terrorists to surrender to troops.
“He therefore charged the troops to ensure total eradication of BH/ISWAP Terrorists hibernating in the Lake Chad Basin region.
“Gen Chibuisi expressed his appreciation to the strategic partners for facilitating the training,” the statement added.
Highlights of the of the ceremony include presentation of certificates to the graduands and group photographs.
