The Emir of Mubi in Adamawa, Alhaji Abubakar Isa, has lauded the composition of the newly appointed Governing Council for Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, and urged them to work towards making the institution one of the best in Nigeria.
Abubakar made the call Tuesday while receiving members of the council and management staff of the university in his palace.
“You are appointed by Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri based on merit and on behalf of myself and the people of Mubi your host, we are happy to have you and hope you will work towards making ADSU one of the best University in Nigeria.
*I want to see collaboration between the Council and management of the University for positive results; we want progress in the university”, the Emir said.
He assured the council of the emirate support at all time, and urged the Chairman of the new council to be flexible and accommodating in discharging the assignment.
Earlier, chairman of the governing council, Alhaji Auwal Bamanga said the council was in Mubi for its first inaugural meeting and decided to pay homage to the royal father for his blessings and fatherly advice.
“We are here to see you as the number one stakeholder and to seek for your blessing, prayers and guidance,” Bamanga said.
Adamawa State Universty established in 2000 was the first state owned universty in North East.
