Emir Of Gwandu Urged The New District Head Of Koko To Embrace All

The emir of Gwandu in Kebbi State, Alhaji Muhammad Bashir Iliyasu has charged the newly turbaned district head of Koko, Sarkin Koko Malam Muhammad Bello Koko to as a matter policy embrace and work with all his subjects irrespective of their religious and political affiliations.

The emir who made the call in his speech he delivered shortly after a colorful ceremony to honour the new district head, which took place at the emir palace in Gwamdu, stated that embracing everyone will be a great asset to him in the discharged of his duty and it will go a long way in bringing closer to the people.

Congratulating the  new Sarkin Koko on his turbaning, Iliyasu reiterated that he and others know him as a responsible person and disciplinarian, hence he charged the new district head, that, ‘’as new district head we expect you to use your knowledge, experience, and leadership skills in ensuring peace, unity, and development.

‘’Your appointment is well deserved as you are one of those that preach peaceful coexistence in entire Kebbi State,’’ he cited.

On moral upbringing, the monarch prevailed on parents to be vigilant over their children and wards, ‘’ We  should all ensure that they are moving with good friends that will influence them positively so that they may not end up derailing to habits that can harm and be a threat  to their well-being,  habits like drug addiction and other social vices.

‘’We must all wake up to this great slumber! As parents, we have a role to play in fighting social vices plaguing our societies,’’ said he.

 

In his remark, the new Sarkin Koko, Malam Bello Sarkin Koko extend thanked the state government and the emir and promise to do his best in the discharged of his duties, as he also employed the support of his subjects in the tasked ahead.

 

Malam Muhammad Bello was until his appointment the Sarkin Sudan in Lani as now the fifth district head of Koko.
