Eid-El-Fitr: FRSC Deploys 362 Personnel in Borno

Borno FRSC Sector Commander

The Borno Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed 362 personnel to control traffic in Borno during the Eid-El-Fitr period.

The State Sector Commander, Mr Sanusi Ibrahim, made this known on Tuesday in Maiduguri.

Ibrahim said the personnel deployed comprised 314 regular and 48 Special Marshals.

Ibrahim said the personnel would be working with other friendly forces like the military, police, NSCDC and NDLEA in Maiduguri and environs.

“You know, there will be heavy vehicular traffic and movement of people which often result to traffic congestion in different parts of the metropolis.

“We have commenced special patrols in order to ensure the free flow of traffic within this period.

“We want to ensure free flow of traffic and other road traffic infractions including traffic control at different locations, particularly in Maiduguri the state capital,” Ibarhim said.

The Commander said personnel would be deployed to five identified prayer grounds in Maiduguri metropolis and some locations known for gridlock.

He urged motorists and other road users for maximum support and cooperation, adding that personnel drafted are also expected to be friendly, firm and cautious in their dealings with the public.
