Adamawa House of Assembly has reiterated it commitment to partner groups and organizations involved in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking in the state.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas made this known while addressing members of Drugs Free Ambassadors, who paid him a courtesy call.
The speaker who noted the negative impact of drug abuse and trafficking in the society said all hands must be on deck to rid the society of the menace.
He said drug abuse has negative impact on the socio economic well being of the people, especially the youths who are productive members of the society.
Iya Abbas assured the ambassadors that the house remain committed in the fight against sales and consumption of illicit drugs in the state.
Earlier, the National President of Drugs Free Ambassadors, Ashraf Marafa, said they visited the house to seek for for it support toward ensuring a drug free society.
