Court restrain Lukman, Dunamis, Mohammed from parading themselves as NUASS officials

A Yola Upper Area Court 111 presided over by Justice Umar Isa, has issued an order restraining Lukman Rufa’u Bugema, Dunamis Amos Drambi and Mohammed Misa Isa from parading themselves as officials of National Union of Adamawa State Students (NUASS).

Justice Isa issued the order Tuesday following an Exparte motion filed by counsel to the plaintiffs/applicants (Ashraf Usman Marafa, Shu’aibu Hussaini Gaddafi, Falana Bobinson and NUASS) to that effect.

According to the judge, he was convince by the content of the affidavit sworn by Marafa and the submission of counsel to the plaintiff/applicants to grant the application.

“The reason so far proffered is cogent to warrant the grant of this application.

“The application is therefore meritorious and it ought to be granted as a matter of exigency, I therefore grant the application as follows:

“The respondents herein, either by themselves, their agents, privies, servants or anyone acting on their behalf are hereby restrained from interfering or doing anything whatsoever with the affairs of NUASS with it headquarters at Education Resource Centre Jimeta-Yola, and further restrained from parading themselves as excos of the said union pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice dated 28th June, 2019.”

The judge ordered serving of the order to defendants/respondents for immediate compliance.

He adjoined the case to July 18 for the hearing of the motion on notice.
