Coalition Unveils Why Bala Mohommed Must Run For Presidency

A Coalition of Civil Society Organizations For Transparency and Good Governance, COCSOTRAGG, has unmasked reasons Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State must vie for presidency in 2023.

Chief Henery Ebikefe Nabena, COCSOTRAGG Coordinator South-South Zone, let lips lose on why Bala ought to contest for president in a press briefing on Friday in Port-Harcourt.

Mr. Henry said Nigeria needs competent, transparent, loyal, dogged and detribalised president with democratic values comes 2023.

He said Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed having emerged as proven, tested and trusted public servant fits to be the next president to salvage the future of Nigeria from total collapse.

“His doggedness and ability to fix the numerous challenges confronting the nation was seen in his outstanding and impeccable performance as FCT Minister for six years, which is yet to be surpassed till date.

“His appointments as FCT Minister reflected his detribalisation with people from every part of the country given opportunity to serve their fatherland.

“We call on him to throw his hat into the ring,” the Coordinator said.

He explained that as sitting governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir has brought an all round development to the people of Bauchi State ‘making it the most peaceful state in the Northeast despite the region being the hotbed of insurgency in Nigeria today.’

Mr. Henry called on people of the Niger Delta region to speak with one voice in calling on Governor Bala Abdulkadir to ‘step into the foray.’
