Breaking: Supreme Court Okays PDP’s First Request On Review Of Imo Governorship Ruling

The Supreme Court on Tuesday, shelved the hearing of the case by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking a review of the judgment which sacked Emeka Ihedioha as the governor of Imo State.

The apex court adjourned hearing till March 2 2020 in the suit seeking a reversal of the judgment which sacked Ihedioha and installed Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The adjournment of the case follows an appeal by Ihedioha’s lead lawyer, Kanu Agabi for time to enable parties to file the necessary papers. His request was not objected by other lawyers representing other parties in the case.

Agabi raised his appeal after the mention of the case on Tuesday.

A seven-man panel of the Supreme Court, led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, in a brief ruling, grant the request for an adjournment and thereafter adjourned till March 2, 2020.
