After being dethroned over allegations of insubordination, the former Emir of Kano has gone to court.
Deposed Kano Emir Muhammad Sanusi II has said he will challenge his dethronement and banishment by the Kano state government in court.
The ex-monarch made this known through his lawyer, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN) in a briefing few minutes ago in Abuja.
He said the restriction of the Emir’s movement and his dethronement were unlawful and gross violation of his human rights.
