Gaddama the Suspended Chairman
Members of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno on Thurday suspended the State Party Chairman, Zanna Gaddama for alleged breach of the party constitution.
The members in a meeting in Maiduguri attended by officials of State Working Committee and Local Government party chairmen said Gaddama breached section 58 a, b, c, d, f and j of the party constitution 2017 as amended.
A resolution signed by the State Organising Secretary, Comrade Umar Bello and read by the party Legal Adviser, Bar Abdu Jidda, accused Gaddama among others of not calling meeting, financial misappropriation and anti party activities.
“After extensive deliberation the following resolution were reached.
“Pursuant to powers bestow on this meeting by section 53 (3), Hon. Zanna Gaddama Mustapha be suspended for a period of one month pending further investigation.
“The state Deputy Chairman, Hon. Bunu Garba Satomi should immediately assume duty in acting capacity during the period of his suspension.
“Our prayers, calling on the national leadership of our great party to act urgently and restore sanity in Borno state chapter of the party.
“The people of Borno today are in dire need of good governance and are looking up to our party to provide it. Borno is today ripe and ready to be counted among PDP states if we put our house in order,” the resolution added.
