Borno NUJ, NAWOJ Congratulate Members Over Appointments 

The Borno State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has congratulated the out-going council Chairman, Dauda Iliya, and the Director of News of the Borno Radio Television (BRTV), Bulama Yerima, for their appointments as Special Adviser (SA) Media to the Governor, and General Manager (GM) of Dandal Kura Radio respectively.

The council in a separate congratulatory letter to the duo signed by its Secretary, Chiroma Ali Ibrahim, described the appointments as well-deserved.

“On behalf of the entire membership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Borno State Council, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on your well-deserved appointment as the Official Spokesperson and Special Adviser (Media) to the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.

“This appointment is as a result of your exceptional skills, experience, and unwavering commitment to journalism and public service. Your dedication to informing the public and advocating for the people of Borno State has earned you the respect of your colleagues and the community.

“We are confident that you will excel in this new role, leveraging your extensive knowledge and expertise to effectively communicate the Governor’s vision and initiatives to the people of Borno State.

“We wish you the very best in this new and challenging position. We are confident that you will continue to make significant contributions to the development of our state,” the contents of the letter to Iliya read in parts.

The NUJ letter to Yerima, the new GM of Dandal Kura, described his appointment as a meritorious one based on hardwork in the field of journalism.

“On behalf of the NUJ Borno State Council, we would like to extend our warmest congratulations to you on your recent appointment as General Manager of Dandal Kura Radio by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum. This is a well-deserved recognition of your dedication and hard work in the field of journalism.

“Your leadership and vision have been an inspiration to many, and we are confident that you will excel in your new role. Your appointment is due  to your ability and commitment to excellence.

“Please accept our best wishes as you take on this new challenge. We look forward to seeing the impact of your leadership at Dandal Kura Radio.”

Similarly, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated the duo over their appointments.

A statement by NAWOJ National Chairperson, Aishatu Ibrahim, said the association was proud to see journalists being recognised for their hard work and dedication.

“We have always admired your dedication and passion for journalism, and we have no doubt that you will bring your wealth of experience and expertise to your new role.

“Your commitment to upholding journalistic ethics and providing accurate and reliable information is truly commendable, and we are confident that you will excel in this new position.

“We are proud to see fellow journalists being recognized for their hard work and dedication, and we know that you will continue to make us proud in your new role,” the NAWOJ letter noted.
