The Head of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Sub Office, Mr Simon Ridley has led a team from the organisation on a solidarity visit to the headquarters of Sector 3 of Operation Hadin Kai and Multinational Joint Task Force, Monguno.
A statement on Thursday by Major Ojo Ifedayo Adenegan, the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations of Sector 3 OP HADIN KAI and Multinational Joint Task Force, said Simon Ridley was received by the Commander Artillery Brigade, Brig. Gen. I,M Abbas on behalf of the Sector Commander, Maj. Gen. Godwin M Mutkut.
“In his remarks, Mr Simon thanked officers and men of the Sector and Nigerian Army for creating enable environment for the locals livelihood and Non Governmental Organizations to render humanitarian service in Monguno and its environs.
“Brig. Gen. I.M Abbas while responding, assured the UNDP team of continuous collaboration between the Sector and Non Governmental Organizations for more successes in humanitarian services and security in Monguno.
“Other staff of United Nations Development Programme in Mr Simon entourage were the Senior Civil Engineer Asmahan Alawaisheh and Area Coordinator Lilian Dawlia,” Adenegan said.
