“The Governor also paid N260.4 million to pay the differential as a result of the fall in the value of the Naira to balance up the BTA of pilgrims to ensure each pilgrim gets 500 dollars.”

While reiterating the commitment of the state Government to welfare of pilgrims, he urged the pilgrims to pray for leaders, more peace and prosperity of the state and nation in general.

According to the Amirul Hajj, the initial arrangement was each pilgrim will receive 415 instead of 500 dollars, adding  that the singular act of the governor in providing the balance was a big relief to many pilgrims in the Holy land.
