Borno Government Releases N55.9m For Payment Of Health Students Registration Fees

Borno Government has released N55.9m for the payment of registration fees of 153 indigent students that got admission for various health courses at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare, in Bauchi State.

The Executive Secretary of the Borno State Scholarship Board, Mallam Bala Isa, made this known on Friday while briefing newsmen on the development.

“His Excellency, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has approved the released of N55.9m for the payment of registration fees of 153 Borno State indigenes admitted to the Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare, Bauchi State.

“The students were admitted to study dentistry, MBBS, radiology, nursing, optometry, audiology, environmental health, IT and health informatics, physiotherapy, epidemiology and statistics, nutrition and dietetics.

“His Excellency advised the students to be hard working in order to justify the effort of government,” Isa said.

While noting that such support to students would be sustain throughout their studies, Isa lauded Zulum administration for its commitment and sustain support to education.

He said such support that remain inline with the state development plan, has continue to provide opportunities for students, particularly those from poor families the platform to further their education to tertiary level.
